The Curchin Group to Host Second Annual Indoor Miniature Golf Tournament for Charity

RED BANK, New Jersey (July 25, 2007) – The Curchin Group, a mid-sized, full-service certified public accounting firm based in Red Bank, New Jersey, announced today that it will host its second annual “Curchin Open,” a nine hole miniature golf tournament for charity.  The event will take place indoors at Curchin’s Red Bank office on October 22, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Player fees are $20.00 per person, which includes one round of golf, food and beverages.  There will be a practice putting green and a fantasy golf scratch-off competition.  All proceeds from the event will benefit two locally-based charities – Parker Family Health Center and Monmouth County Arts Council.  Curchin is offering sponsorship opportunities to local businesses that would like to help the selected charities as well as raise their profile in the community.  For further information about sponsoring the second annual Curchin Open, please contact Peter Pfister at ppfister@curchin.com or at 732.747.0500, or visit the Curchin Web site at www.curchin.com.

Last year, with the help of over 30 corporate sponsors and dozens of participants, the first annual Curchin Open raised $8,000.  Said Curchin Partner Peter Pfister, “The first annual Curchin Open exceeded our expectations in terms of the response from the local business community and the general public.  Our goal for this year is to raise $10,000, so we hope that everyone comes out to support two great charities and are ready to have some fun.”

Red Bank-based Parker Family Health Center is a nonprofit facility that provides health care for children and their families who are residents of Monmouth County and do not have health care benefits or health insurance.  Said John Horl, Treasurer of Parker Family Health, “We have worked with Curchin since our inception eight years ago.  The company has been of great assistance to our growth.  We are pleased to have been chosen for the Curchin Open as Parker Family relies 100 percent on donations for funding.”  Monmouth County Arts Council is a private, non-profit organization that is the official arts agency for Monmouth County.  Said Mary Eileen Fouratt, Executive Director of Monmouth County Arts Council, “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Curchin and are looking forward to building our golf hole and having a great time at the event.”

Curchin Director Addresses the $700 Billion Economic Bailout

"I remember my father and George Curchin sitting around my dining room table putting together our company's financials in the early 1950s. After 50 years, the numbers have changed, the faces have changed, but the quality of work and level of service that Curchin provides has remained the same."
