to Host Second Annual Indoor Miniature Golf Tournament for
Charity
RED BANK, New Jersey (July 25, 2007) – The Curchin
Group, a mid-sized, full-service certified public accounting
firm based in Red Bank, New Jersey, announced today that
it will host its second annual “Curchin Open,” a
nine hole miniature golf tournament for charity. The
event will take place indoors at Curchin’s Red Bank
office on October 22, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Player
fees are $20.00 per person, which includes one round of golf,
food and beverages. There will be a practice putting
green and a fantasy golf scratch-off competition. All
proceeds from the event will benefit two locally-based charities – Parker
Family Health Center and Monmouth County Arts Council. Curchin
is offering sponsorship opportunities to local businesses
that would like to help the selected charities as well as
raise their profile in the community. For further information

Last year, with the help of over 30 corporate sponsors and dozens of participants,
the first annual Curchin Open raised $8,000. Said Curchin Partner Peter
Pfister, “The first annual Curchin Open exceeded our expectations in
terms of the response from the local business community and the general public. Our
goal for this year is to raise $10,000, so we hope that everyone comes out
to support two great charities and are ready to have some fun.”
Red Bank-based Parker Family Health Center is a nonprofit facility that provides
health care for children and their families who are residents of Monmouth County
and do not have health care benefits or health insurance. Said John Horl,
Treasurer of Parker Family Health, “We have worked with Curchin since
our inception eight years ago. The company has been of great assistance
to our growth. We are pleased to have been chosen for the Curchin Open
as Parker Family relies 100 percent on donations for funding.” Monmouth
County Arts Council is a private, non-profit organization that is the official
arts agency for Monmouth County. Said Mary Eileen Fouratt, Executive
Director of Monmouth County Arts Council, “We are thrilled to have been
chosen by Curchin and are looking forward to building our golf hole and having
a great time at the event.”
