The Curchin Group Welcomes Two New Staff Accountants

RED BANK, New Jersey (March 11, 2008) – The Curchin Group, a mid-sized, full-service accounting firm based in Red Bank, New Jersey, announced today that it has welcomed two new Accountants to its professional staff, Clavelyn Fontanes of Marlboro, New Jersey, and Ashley N. Sofia of Howell, New Jersey.

Fontanes received a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Cebu in the Philippines, in October 2004. She anticipates receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey in May 2008, where she appeared on the Dean’s List, was a member of honor societies, and won various awards and scholarships. At Georgian Court University, she is also working on an MBA degree, with an expected completion by May 2009. Before joining The Curchin Group, Fontanes had been working as a Bookkeeper for a company in Brick, New Jersey while pursuing her studies.

Sofia graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, in May 2006. She is expected to receive a Master of Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut, in May 2008. She also made the Dean’s List, was a member in an honor society, and received an award during the course of her studies. Prior to being hired by The Curchin Group, Sofia worked as an Inter-company accountant at IBM in Southbury, Connecticut.
