Curchin Named as 2008
Associate Member of Year at the National Association of
Credit Union Supervisory & Auditing Committees’ Annual Conference & Exposition
RED BANK, New Jersey (August 13, 2008) – The Curchin Group, a mid-sized,
full-service accounting firm based in Red Bank, New Jersey, announced today
that it was honored during the National Association of Credit Union Supervisory & Auditing
Committees’ (“NACUSAC”) Annual Conference & Exposition,
held in Denver, Colorado from June 18-21, 2008, as NACUSAC’s 2008
Associate Member of the Year. The Curchin Group, one of the top
fifteen firms providing accounting services to credit unions, was selected
by NACUSAC based on their professionalism and dedication to the industry.
Managing Partner Robert C. Fouratt, CPA, who accepted the award for The Curchin
Group at the conference, commented, “It is an honor receiving an award
from an organization that supports such a dedicated group of supervisory and
auditing committee members. We value the opportunity to be able to support
NACUSAC’s mission of educating these important volunteers.” Fouratt,
who has been with The Curchin Group since 1978, leads their credit union practice,
which provides auditing, accounting and consulting to over 35 federally and
state chartered credit unions. He has also spoken at several NACUSAC
conferences, including the June 2008 Annual Conference. Fouratt’s
session, entitled “Bank Secrecy Act Update,” served as a refresher
on the BSA, as well as explaining the role credit union supervisory committee
members play in fulfilling compliance requirements.
