Good Times, Great Causes

Since its inception in 2005, the Curchin Open has raised more than $177,000 benefitting approximately two-dozen local charities. Each year, two non-profit organizations are selected from an essay contest to receive the proceeds from the Open. Meet our 2018 Curchin Open charity recipients:

Ocean of Love
Ocean of Love is dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer and their families. Their purpose is to assist the children through their illness. They provide financial and emotional support so the children can experience the “normal” joys of childhood, knowing their lives are significant and meaningful to each and every one of us. To-date, over 500 families have been helped by their program. Learn more at oceanoflove.org.

Aslan Youth Ministries
Aslan Youth Ministries is a nonprofit organization that provides relationship-driven programs that impact and empower at-risk youth. For the past 41 years, they have provided community outreach programs to impoverished areas in Monmouth County. In 1996, Aslan also established an outreach in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, along the northeastern border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Aslan’s programs include one-on-one mentoring and tutoring, character development classes anchored in Christian values and principles, recreational activities, summer camps and cultural enrichment programs.
