The Curchin Group Raises $18,000 for Local Charities at 11th Annual Curchin OpenNovember 4, 2016

The Curchin Group, LLC, a mid-sized, full-service accounting firm based in Red Bank, N.J., raised $18,000 for two local charities at its 11th Annual Curchin Open Miniature Golf Tournament held on November 2, 2016. Clients, sponsors and friends played a round of miniature golf on a newly designed Curchin 9-hole course that flowed through the firm’s office space.

Each year, all proceeds from the Curchin Open are donated to two locally based non-profit organizations. Since its inception in 2005, the Curchin Open has raised $155,000. This year’s recipients are the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), dedicated to fostering the general wellbeing of homeless, neglected and abused animals; and Mary’s Place by the Sea, a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for cancer.

“The Curchin Open has seen tremendous turnout over the past 10 years, and this year was even bigger! By redesigning the course, we were able to make more space for everyone to enjoy refreshments and participate in the gift auction,” said Curchin Group partner Peter Pfister. “We’re very thankful to everyone who contributed this year, as we had our most successful year yet raising $18,000 which goes to help two local charities that do exceptional work.”

Player admission fees, sponsors, a gift auction and fantasy scratch-off cards all contributed the most successful year yet of the Curchin Open. For further information about the Annual Curchin Open, please contact Peter Pfister at ppfister@curchin.com or at 732.747.0500.
